I love the warmth of this interview, the closing was done really well and you could see that both guest’s were left w a great experience. I like that the actor said his goal was for two people to be left w two completely different takes from the film, and especially a film like this. Ya can tell everything was in alignment w the way this was put together both w the writing but also the direction overall, great job LaurenLovesIt

Have U seen the letter Billie wrote cursing Tallulah Bankhead out because tallulah tried to sue Billie for mentioning in her name in her book
I did not even know who she was til I watched Ashley Says So on UA-cam.
Tallulah admitted to being lesbian. She wasn't shy about it. Neither was Billie Holiday. We're talking about a time when most LGBTQIA people would not be open about it.
I thought that Tallulah was bisexual? She had many lovers, male and female, if the tales are true!
Tallulah would go around introducing herself to people by telling them that she's a lesbian. She also said that she could never be a lesbian because lesbians don't have a sense of humor. Tallulah has also said that she's "ambisexual".

She told me that Talulah physically liked sex with any man or woman, but in her heart she was a lesbian. Mother also told me that Richard Chamberlain was gay, and that she knew it since the 1960s. I asked her how she knew Chamberlain was gay so long ago. She said that he never brought any female dates with him to agents' and producers' parties. It was obvious to a lot of people. But back then, no one in the in-group, even secretaries, really thought much about it.

Listen...while you may be related to Ms. Bankhead, the movie Lady sings the Blues was highly inaccurate and United States vs Billie Holiday was also a bit fabricated! The movie ROOTS was definitely a fictional story!
Wasn’t a fictional story she was actually in trouble with the United States government over her song strange fruit even to the point where a white actress name Tallulah Bankhead wrote Jae Edgar Hoover to give her leniency but she was denied
@@sheluvssmokedupeyes1 I'm pretty sure that's why they wrote that it was bit fabricated. The relationship between the FBI agent and Billie was more than likely fabricated. Neither Billie nor the FBI agent ever admitted to a relationship. The FBI agent was not around as long as the movie suggested. There was another FBI agent that was assigned to the case after the FBI agent depicted in the movie. Billie had to track the FBI agent down to send him a copy of her book. That is possibly what the person's it hinting at concerning the 'a bit fabricated' comment.
Love this film, and the ending is heartbreaking I've seen it about 20 times and never fail to sob my heart out. But L.T. acting is pretty crap.
